When I got started: June 2007
My results so far:
Since I started training, I have gained muscle mass, lost body fat, I am down to two dress sizes and feel awesome! Training and being conscious of my diet gives me more energy.
What I've learned so far:
Exercise is good for you and I can definitely say It's the best gift you can give to yourself. Burning the calories during the day has not been a big problem for me, it's my diet that really got revolutiounized. Although the kinds of exercise I do now are the muscle toning and fat burning exercises taught by my fabulous trainer, Chelsea. I learned that it's not how little I eat that makes me lose weight, it's meeting the food calorie goal set for me, (it's more food than I've ever eaten) and being conscious of the kind of food I take in and the amount and frequency in eating. The main focus is having my meals planned throughout the day so my eating schedule is consistent. It took me a while to get it but I know that the more I eat and the more times I eat during the day gets the result I want and that's to lose the body fat I need to lose. Isn't that crazy? But it really works!
How has your life changed?
I now live a healthier life... Training (includes diet, rest and exercise) gives me a healthier me, in my body, soul and spirit. My body feels great... and because I see the results outwardly, I feel better about myself and feel that I have something to contribute to the world around me... I can provide a healthy environment for my husband and children by leading by example... and I know spiritually, that I am able to have the energy to do what God has called me to do. Living a healthy lifestyle allows me to take care of the body God gave me and assures me that I'm doing the best I can to live a longer and fuller life.

When I got started:
I have never truly been on a diet before, never really felt motivated, never really took it seriously, and never was willing to take real action to remediate my weight situation. However, I was one to always complain, whine, and "cover up" my increasingly unhealthy condition. This summer, I finally took responsibilty for my 60lb+ weight accumulation during the course of the last 10 years. I bucked up, joined 24Hour Fitness, and signed on for 25 personal trainer sessions so someone would knock the health back into me! SO, I think this July was the first real step to my new, healthier life.
My results:
Having been on the program now for 14 weeks, I have lost more than 15lbs, inches around my problem areas and reduced my BMI by 3%. I have also seen a great reduction in my blood pressure (now in a normal/healthy range when it was leaning towards high/unhealthy when I began).
What I have learned so far:
That it isn't so much dieting, as it is a lifestyle change. All you have to do is exercise; burn more than what you put in, make the better choice when it comes to food selection, strength train to improve agility and muscle definition, supplement and build muscle to aid in fat loss. I have also learned that by having someone there so supportive, to push you and make sure you do what you did not think you could do, is very effective! Without Chelsea, I would be very intimidated by the whole fitness regimen, and unsure of how to start, get there and maintain.
My life so far:
I actually look forward to meeting with Chelsea twice a week! Sure she kicks my booty, but it is such a good booty kickin I come crawlin' back for more! We're dealing with someone who never exercised before, had so many different memberships to the gym just sit there and "expire", and frankly just had no motivation. Now, I actually want to go to the gym; everyday! I no longer have lower back pains, trouble sleeping at night, and scary pangs of "imaginary" pain in my chest I swear is due to me being fat. All this, and I haven't even reached my goal weight yet!

When did I start: I began training with Chelsea through 24-Hour Fitness in 2006, off and on. With her career move to another gym, and it being too far to travel, I thought I would try it on my own. I did OK. I maintained. But life was dull. Then, to my relief and joy, her career brought her back (Hard Bodies), closer to my home, and so I have returned. Life is good.
My results so far: I'm very pleased. I definitely have more strength. I sleep better. There are still some areas (aka: mid-section) that prove to be difficult but I'm confident, with Chelsea's expertise (aka: torture) inches will be shed.
What I have learned so far:
What I have learned so far is that exercise and staying strong really is a life-long journey. Once you get past changing into your workout clothes, getting to the gym, and enduring the first 10 minutes – it's all good from there!
What I like about training with Chelsea: What I like most about Chelsea is that she pushes me. I've tried doing strength-training on my own but I know myself and must confess ... I'm a cheater. I start the rep, thinking I'll do the 12 or 15 that I should do, but often find myself, more times than not, not quite finishing those last one or two. What she says is true ... we really do have more in us than we think!
Would I recommend Chelsea to family or friends: Heck, yeah and I have! Chelsea is my splurge item. I don't get my nails done. I don't have cable. I have Chelsea instead. My workouts are my escape. Just ask her. She has me so focused (suck in my abs, squeeze my butt, shoulders back, toe straight, chest up and breathe) that I CAN'T think of anything else! After 30 minutes with Chelsea you leave feeling great! You can conquer the world or at least your life. (You'll definitely be sore the next morning – but it's so worth it). I'm certainly no body-builder, but at 48 yrs old, I feel stronger now than I ever have. Thanks Chelsea! Luv ya! You're the best!
When I got started: I began working with Chelsea about 5 weeks ago.
My results: I've lost 8 pounds, and decreased inches aaalll over my body!
I feel GREAT. I have more energy and sleep well at night. I have also noticed that my mental outlook is better, brighter and more positive.
What I've learned:
Well , to begin with I learned that I own something called a" core" that I have been ignoring all my life! Since I started paying attention to it , with Chelsea's help , I feel different, more in control of my body and it works better for me. I've also learned that you can work out for 15 hours a week and not get the results you want if you don't know what you are doing. I am now getting better results from two 30 minute workouts a week than I was on my own. I was very surprised at this.
I love training with Chelsea because she "keeps it fresh" it's NEVER dull and I am always looking forward to what new workout awaits me. Chelsea's attitude as a trainer suits me as well..... and I appreciate her sense of humor.
I feel very confident that Chelsea knows her stuff. I trust her knowledge and ability to choose the right combination of workouts for me. She is also careful when it comes to my physical limitations (I'm no spring chicken)
I would and have recommended Chelsea to friends.

I started training with Chelsea in February 2007. I originally started training so that I could lose weight, be in better shape and look good for my oldest son's Wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, in November 2007. I have lost 30 pounds and 3 dress sizes since I started. I have learned how to eat healthier and not feel hungry and have added cardio exercise to my weekly routine. I feel better and have more energy. I am working on my next 30 pounds and would strongly recommend Chelsea to anyone as a well educated, highly motivational, personally committed Trainer! I started at 24 Hour Fitness with Chelsea about 3 years ago and what a difference that decision has made in my life!
I look and feel better than I have in years. I get compliments all the time on how my body has changed! That transformation has a lot to do with Chelsea. She has been my personal trainer since the beginning and she motivated, pushed, encouraged, taught, and supported me throughout my fitness journey.
She taught me that had work and commitment to your goal can deliver real results, and she also taught me that working out can be FUN! She has a wonderful sense of humor and helped me laugh at myself when a good laugh is what I needed.
I can't imagine my life without my workouts. My self confidence as an aging baby-boomer has soared. I am proud to walk into the gym. I know I look good and my partnership with Chelsea has helped me achieve that confidence.
Workout = feel great!
You need a good personal trainer like Chelsea to get you started and to keep you on track. I was intimidated at first, by the gym scene. Only big muscle bound guys were in the weight room and I didn't feel comfortable working out with them. Once I was taught what exercise and how to properly do them, I was no longer afraid to be in the weight room. I belong in the weight room!
My triceps were my initial problem are. I now get compliments and remarks on my arms all the time! Chelsea taught me the exercises to do to tone up my arms. What a difference! Not only are my arms toned, I have GUNS!
If I had only one paragraph to describe my experience with Chelsea and learning about fitness it would be: if you start working out with Chelsea , your body wont be the only thing that will change. Your attitude toward yourself and truly your life will change. Being in shape has benefits for every aspect of your life. Your family will see the change in you and you will have more energy to enjoy others and to take an active role in your life. FITNESS IS EMPOWERING!!

I look a lot better. I finally am beginning to like what I see when I look in the mirror. My wife is also noticing how much better and I look and she is responding accordingly.
I am learning Consistency is key. Overnight results don't happen. But by sticking to a comprehensive eating, cardio and training schedule, I can achieve and even exceed my goals.
Chelsea is very encouraging. She focuses on your goals and helps you reach them. The workouts are varied according to the focus at that point in my progress. She is there to provide additional direction as I reach goals and set new ones. Chelsea is a great resource of information. That is critical to success. I have recommended several people.
